Learn how you can get involved with Golden Isles Fund For Trees (GIFT)

GIFT continued its celebration of Arbor Week presenting programs and potting saplings with Third Grade students at Burroughs-Molette Elementary School and Oglethorpe Point Elementary School.  GIFT also planted a live oak tree at Oglethorpe Point Elementary School, donated by our first corporate member, Webster Tile and Bath, owned by David Webster.

Georgia Power Staff planting the trees

GIFT provided a live oak and a magnolia tree to the replanting efforts at Stollaway, a Land Trust property on Frederica that was heavily damaged during Hurricane Matthew. In addition to GIFT, donations for the project were provided by Georgia Power, Asplundh Tree Expert CO. and Resa Dollar of Southeast Nursery. A total of 21 trees were planted to replace the 15 to 20ntrees that were lost.
